Watery Wednesday

I have been complaining about all the rain we've had lately but one very nice benefit to all the rain is that our "seasonal" streams get going. I live in a very dry area. For nine or ten months out of the year it can look like the face of mars: hot, dry and brown. For a few months out of the year, like now in the wettest part of winter, it is as green here as Ireland. Creeks, streams and waterfalls run, trickle and fall from nearly every crevice. It's very beautiful and that's what inspired my Watery Wednesday photo this week. This is a small waterfall I found near my house. I played with the settings on my camera until I got a clear background and a wispy waterfall. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. That is a nice result of the rainfall! I can almost hear the soft, gentle sound of the water flowing down those rocks...Nice choice for WW!

You just described Southern California. :-) Right now and for the next few months our hills will be very lush, green and beautiful. By summer it will be all brown and dry and we'll be looking at fire season.

Love the waterfall shot. :-)

Very nice shot. I too am thankful for all the water we are getting; not enough but at least we are still getting wet.

Such a lovely photo Caprice, thanks for sharing. Must be a pleasant change of pace to see that kind of water in your surroundings. But then there is a lot of beauty in dry areas too.

Don't ever complain about too much water, we would love to have it here! I love the waterfall and you have captured it well - wish I was there - today it is going to be 39 degrees!

Hi Caprice, coming upon such a beautiful waterfall in a dry area is really an exclusive :). I love your photo! Nature makes me fall in love over and over again... Hope we can preserve Mother Earth. Best Wishes!

Yeah, sometimes playing around with our cameras brings us to new discoveries, and this is a great one. I love the foamy waters.

Caprice,
what a lovley name!
I just checked into my blog and saw that you came on over today.
I do love Oregon, but your Lake Don Pedro looks wonderful!

Reading your comments and overtone here I think we are sisters in the Lord.
May I ask for your prayers at this time?
I am being persecuted at present and need my mare to be safe for the next 5 days till I can remove her from what has trurned into a hellish Oppression at my current barn. I do have freinds there that are on the watch but I am really down.

Sorry to meet this way but I trust Jesus has brought you near for our mutual encouragement!

Be back soon Kacy

Your watery rainfall picture is very nice by the way!

Thanks for coming over! We are sisters in the Lord and I thank Him that we found each other. I am praying for you right now and will continue to until you tell me the Lord has answered your prayers and protected you and your mare!
Your siser in Christ,
Caprice
