SkyWatch Friday

This occured a few days ago when we got some unexpected rain. The winds kicked up and the temp dropped. There was even snow in the mtns. The weathermen were stunned. They said it was "lake effect weather" from Lake Tahoe (approx. 60 miles north of us) and something never seen before in our area. It was interesting to watch the rain start to come down like this.

Lived in Cleveland for awhile. We had lake effect weather all winter. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Beautiful but angry sky!

This is what we had today, but no lake! Predicted high of 63. Actual high of 43 (for a few brief moments) but snow all morning.

This is an EXCELLENT capture!

Great capture! The clouds look as if they're melting towards the earth.

I also love the picture! The clouds are coming down, the colours are wonderful! Hope the rain was welcome. We could need some rain here, we had nearly four weeks of sunshine!

Cool SWF.

I didn't do one last week.... somehow I forgot...wonder why??? I'll do one this week. In fact I'm going to post the sky at Lake Tahoe.

I'm feeling really good... nice to be back visiting my favorite blogs.
